Technology Director

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Optomi, in partnership with an industry-leading technology company, is seeking a Technology Director for their Charlotte, NC location.

The Technology Director will need to be accomplished at relationship building and gaining support at all levels.  In addition, the Technology Director will establish and set short and long-range objectives, will set strategy for the function, will gain buy-in of the various stakeholders, and will establish the criteria for monitoring progress and measuring success.

  • 5+ years of retirement industry experience.
  • 10+ years of financial services development manager experience.
  • Strong knowledge and hands on experience with the .NET framework particularly c#.NET and ASP.NET as well as Visual Studio. Exposure to COM.
  • Good understanding of relational database technology including both Oracle and MS SQL.
  • Exposure to modern web technologies such as HTML5, Angular, REST, and etc.
  • Well rounded in software requirements, architecture, development, QA, security, databases, and etc. Ability to confidently converse on these topics.
  • Track record of being a development player / coach.
  • Successful history of working with resources in India. * Strong leadership ability.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High on-time project delivery record.
  • Ability to succeed despite obstacles.
  • Strong track record of working with external clients and within a matrixed organization.
  • History of working as an organizational change agent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Master’s degree in Computer Science is a nice to have.

  • Moving the methodology from Waterfall to Agile and the source control system from TFS to JIRA.
