Test Data Masking Analyst (IBM Optim)

Optomi is in partnership, with a Fortune 500 Financial Services Company, is seeking a Test Data Masking Analyst  for their Charlotte, NC location.


The Test Data Masking Analyst will be responsible for collaborating in the implementation and delivery of an enterprise Test Data Masking service using IBM's InfoSphere Optim tools. The Test Data Masking Analyst will provide service delivery of masking production data in lower environments for enterprise applications. He or she will assist in building and executing the masking routines within standard Test Data Masking technology, and adhere to security and data management standards while aiding in reporting on the status of test data masking deliverables for each effort, and identification of any roadblocks that may hinder progress.

Required Skill-Sets

  • 1+ years of experience working with Data Masking and understanding the architecture as well.
  • Extensive experience using Erwin Data Modeling Tools.
  • Proficient experience using Data Masking Tools such IBM InfoSphere Optim.
  • Hands-on experience working with both Oracle and SQL Databases.



  • They will work closely with Test Data Masking Managers to implement new methods and procedures for accomplishing work and provide any required support for the Test Data Masking Managers. 
  • They will be responsible for effectively documenting and reporting on their assigned tasks and reviewing progress with the Test Data Masking Managers to ensure the delivery of high quality services and the proper securitization of production data in lower environments.
  • Ability to thoroughly understand the required tasks necessary for each data masking effort.
  • Ability to work in both project and non-project work efforts, inclusive of data analysis, modeling, and masking.
  • Ability to identify and document root cause analysis for major problems or hurdles, as well as process/technology improvements required to avoid future problems.
  • Monitors the progress of assigned tasks and is capable of identifying problem areas to Test Data Masking Managers for review and resolution.
  • Advanced knowledge of Data Management methodologies, technologies, and the integration of processes and service delivery.
