Sr. Manager, Digital Transformation Strategy, Contract-to-hire, Norcross, GA

Optomi in partnership with a leading company in the print and packaging industry is looking for someone who will come in and lead the implementation of this company's digital transformation strategy. Paper industry experience is a must, with the ability to meet with existing teams, understand pain points, and help rectify them using MES systems, BPM, and more!

  • Long-term understanding of IOT and data platforms and how to leverage those into insights on "state of the union"; 8+ years of experience with these types of cloud technologies
  • MUST HAVE experience with the manufacturing industry-Any of the process-heavy manufacturing industries – forestry, agriculture, heavy machinery, chemical
  • Ability to leverage data and analytics in a Manufacturing environment; Experience with Manufacturing MES Systems
  • Process analysis experience and experience driving processes in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong software background- experience working with open SDK's
  • Sensory ecosystems and how do they drive value
  • Track record of mapping out and rolling out new processes in a manufacturing environment


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with 30 mills and plant operations
  • You will drive how they use data to execute operations functions
  • There are up to 50k sensors in one mill – you will help censor data. You will use this data to drive predictive maintenance to keep from disruptions in production
  • Equip mill and plant workers with tools to do root-cause analysis and diagnosis
  • You will come in and get your head around how the mills, plants, and machinery are currently running and will come up with ideas and opportunities to drive revenue growth, etc.
  • Work with Quality and Process Engineers – critical part is spending up-front time with these teams to define pain points and create opportunities and efficiencies
  • Experience with the build-out of overall implementation and deployment for this type of environment. The first 3-4 months – figure out how do we scale - then bring in people under you to help execute
