The Optomi Atlanta office partnered with the Piedmont Park Conservancy to help clean-up Piedmont Park. Our group of 50 people split into 2 groups; 1 group picked up trash around the lake and throughout the park, and the other group worked hard (and put in some sweat) into pulling-up weeds and more! Erica, the volunteering coordinator, was very impressed with our hard-work, and said how great the park looked after we were finished! Also, each person brought in a toy for us to donate to the American Kidney Services!
The Piedmont Park Conservancy, a nonprofit organization, raises over $3.5 million dollars annually to preserve and enhance Piedmont Park. The American Kidney Service’s mission is to provide support to charitable organizations that fight kidney disease. AKS, an Atlanta-based charity, generate proceeds that go directly to the American Kidney Fundy, a national health organization that works to lessen the financial burden of patients suffering from chronic kidney disease. The toys that we donated are going to children patients in the Atlanta area that are fighting chronic kidney disease.
