Our Chicago Team Throws a Party for Under-resourced Kids for Opt2give day 2015

For many financially insecure children, the ability to be a kid gets lost in the weight of the stresses of life. During its annual Opt2give Day November 5th, the Chicago Optomi team helped underprivileged kids by hosting a pizza & games party for 30 kids who live in an under-resourced apartment complex outside of the city. In partnership with Riverworks of Fox Valley, Optomi created a night to remember for the children.

By the end of 2015, IT staffing firm Optomi will have fed over 1,500 children in the U.S. who would otherwise go to bed hungry every day. Meals given to these children total over 9,000. According to the organization Feeding America, one in 5 children struggles with hunger. Optomi is committed to alleviating this hunger epidemic. The company’s philosophy of ‘doing good’ has been part of its culture since inception 3 years ago. Dedication to its people and the communities in which they live/work are central to the mission of Optomi.

The IT staffing firm believes that a culture of “doing the right thing” is good business. The company chooses to use its business as a driver for charitable contributions. “The message is simple, when you do business with Optomi, you help children in need”, says CEO Michael Winwood.
