Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking an Ariba Contracts Specialist that will play a critical role in supporting the Digital Innovation group by bringing much-needed structure and organization to contracting and financial tracking processes. This is a day-to-day operational role with a strong focus on reporting, contract documentation, and financial visibility. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable navigating dynamic environments.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional stakeholders—including procurement, accounting, and project teams—to ensure contract compliance, financial accuracy, and improved process efficiency.
The right person will:
- Assist in preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
- Monitor expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets
- Conduct monthly variance analysis and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain accurate financial and contractual records
- Review supplier invoices and identify discrepancies
- Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to leadership
- Support documentation efforts for contract submissions
- Track in-flight contracts to ensure program compliance
- Follow up with internal and external stakeholders on contract statuses
- Assist procurement in resolving contract-related issues (excluding negotiation)
- Build front-end Ariba reports to support transparency and decision-making
- Provide actionable insights to improve financial visibility for leadership
- Support ongoing process improvement initiatives
- Assist in creating internal presentations, reports, and dashboards
- Schedule and coordinate meetings as needed
- Collaborate with project transformation teams and finance/accounting
- Provide support during team absences (e.g., maternity leave coverage for contracts support)
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or procurement roles
- Familiarity with SAP Ariba – specifically front-end report building
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and contract lifecycle tracking
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in Excel and transitioning from spreadsheet tracking to structured systems
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Effective communicator and team player
- Prior experience supporting Digital Innovation, procurement, or transformation programs
- Experience working in or with enterprise tools such as SAP, Ariba, and related reporting systems
