Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the streaming industry, is seeking a Marketing Planning & Analytics Analyst to support executive reporting and marketing analytics. This role plays a critical part in tracking fiscal year progress, allocating spend, and analyzing channel performance, subscriber trends, churn, and lifetime value. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a deep understanding of marketing data, bringing innovation to reporting and dashboard solutions while supporting high-visibility business objectives.

Experience of the Right Candidate

  • 5+ years of professional experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, or a data-related field.

  • Expertise in SQL and proven ability to work with large, complex data sets.

  • Proficiency in Tableau for dashboard creation; Power BI or similar tools also acceptable.

  • Strong Excel knowledge (sumifs, index-match, macros).

  • Experience summarizing complex data into executive-ready insights .

  • Marketing or media data background, with understanding of key metrics such as subscriber acquisition, churn, and LTV.

  • Ability to work autonomously and build dashboards/visualizations independently.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Amazon QuickSight (Amazon Q) and its AI capabilities.

  • Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis.

  • Background in managing or analyzing large marketing budgets .

  • Exposure to streaming, digital marketing, or marketing mix modeling .


Responsibilities of the Right Candidate

  • Support the development of scalable analytics and automation solutions , helping the MPA team evolve toward more advanced, AI-enabled reporting.

  • Design and build dashboards, charts, and visualizations that communicate key marketing and subscriber trends to executives and channel teams.

  • Conduct deep dives into marketing channels, subscriber growth, churn, lifetime value, and spend allocation to flag risks and opportunities.

  • Partner with channel and planning teams to support major promotions and content launches.

  • Provide ad-hoc analysis to answer strategic questions and support decision-making across marketing, finance, and analytics.

  • Enhance reporting accessibility and usability, ensuring insights are timely and actionable for business stakeholders.

  • Stay current on analytics best practices and tools to continuously bring new ideas to the team.
