Product Manager / Owner

Optomi is seeking a Marketing Systems Product Owner. This role requires strong product ownership experience, the ability to challenge and influence the business, and the skill to translate business needs into strategic roadmaps. The position works closely with all marketing verticals and collaborates with sales, PMO, and other technical teams.

Key Responsibilities
•    Manage all marketing systems, connecting and streamlining processes from an operational approach to a strategic roadmap.
•    Collaborate with leadership to improve planning and execution.
•    Partner with marketing teams to define high-level requirements and strategy, not just tactical execution.
•    Translate business requirements into user stories for the PM team; prioritize work according to business needs.
•    Drive adoption of best practices across marketing automation platforms and data tools.
•    Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, encouraging partnership and reducing siloed thinking.

Challenges & Expectations
•    Business partnership: Must work with stakeholders who may initially resist collaboration or perceive the process as removing control.
•    Self-starter: Minimal need for handholding; must know when to escalate issues.
•    High strategy focus: Current split is approx. 60% strategy / 40% requirements.
•    Adaptability: Wide variety of personalities within the business; ability to navigate political and interpersonal dynamics.

Required Experience & Skills
•    5+ years in product management or product ownership.
•    3+ years working with cloud-based automated systems.
•    Proven marketing automation expertise.
•    HubSpot strongly preferred.
•    Salesforce, Snowflake, and Tableau experience highly desirable.
•    Jira for user story management.
•    Ability to develop strategic roadmaps from technical and business requirements.
