Optomi, in partnership with an innovative and fast-growing software company within the Healthcare industry, is seeking an experienced Program Manager for their Worcester, MA location! This Program Manager will act as a strategic bridge between business science teams, technical teams, and leadership, ensuring alignment and effective communication across all levels of the organization.

Experience of the right candidate:
  • Proven experience in project/program management, preferably in a lab or pharmaceutical environment. PMP (or equivalent) certification is strongly preferred.
  • Strong systems understanding and ability to navigate complex organizational structures.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to and influencing executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in process re-engineering and change management.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and compliance.
  • Understanding of SDLC and lifecycle management.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to bridge gaps between business, science, and technology teams.
  • Experience with Smartsheet or similar project management tools is a strongly preferred.
 
Responsibilities of the right candidate:
  • Lead and manage multiple projects and programs, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Apply a strong understanding of systems and processes within lab and pharmaceutical settings to optimize program outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from working groups to executive leadership, tailoring messaging as appropriate.
  • Drive process re-engineering initiatives to improve efficiency, compliance, and quality.
  • Serve as a liaison between business science, technical, and leadership teams, facilitating collaboration and strategic alignment.
  • Utilize project management tools such as Smartsheet (preferred) to track progress, manage resources, and report on key metrics.
  • Ensure all programs adhere to the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and best practices for program governance.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail in planning, execution, and documentation.
  • Apply strategic thinking to anticipate risks, identify opportunities, and support long-term organizational objectives.
