Optomi, in partnership with an American electric power and natural gas holding company, is seeking a Project Engagement Specialist to play a key role in collaborating with stakeholders to identify infrastructure needs for internal projects and initiatives. This position ensures the timely acquisition, buildout, and delivery of required assets by working closely with architects, internal clients, and cross-functional teams to meet project objectives efficiently and effectively.
The right person will:
- Assess and obtain necessary hardware and software resources through CIOPS.
- Prepare and manage cost estimates, quotations, and procurement of required materials.
- Oversee the receipt and installation of purchased equipment to ensure timely deployment.
- Coordinate with CIOPS to support the buildout of infrastructure assets.
- Initiate and manage the asset build process, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
- Proactively address and resolve any issues or delays related to asset buildout to maintain project momentum.
The right person will have:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline. In lieu of a degree, 6 years of related business experience. Work experience in addition to degree: 3-5 years of related experience in business and or information technology systems analysis or support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with architects, internal customers, and internal teams.
- Experience in evaluating and acquiring materials, including hardware and software.
- Proven ability to manage and facilitate asset build processes effectively.
- Familiarity with data center and end user computing technology components
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
