Optomi, in partnership with a leading financial institution, is seeking a Senior Business Technical Analyst with deep experience in loan origination systems (LOS)—specifically ENCOMPASS—to join a dynamic and collaborative IT team. This role supports software development efforts for a major financial institution and plays a key part in bridging business needs with technology solutions. This is not a heads-down position—we're looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced, highly interactive environments and enjoys engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, from developers and QA to product owners and business leaders.
The right person will:
- Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to gather, document, and translate requirements for the ENCOMPASS loan origination platform.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including developers, QA engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders to define project scope and ensure successful solution delivery.
- Create and maintain business requirement documents (BRDs), functional requirement documents (FRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Lead and facilitate requirement gathering sessions, stakeholder meetings, and sprint planning discussions.
- Analyze complex business problems and recommend solutions that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Support testing and quality assurance processes through review of test plans, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation of final deliverables.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on ENCOMPASS configurations, workflows, and enhancements.
- Provide ongoing support and analysis for the continuous improvement of the loan origination process.
The right person will have:
- 5–7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in financial services or banking.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with ENCOMPASS LOS (strong user experience ).
- Proven experience supporting enterprise-level software development projects within a large financial institution and ENCOMPASS.
- Strong knowledge of loan origination, servicing, and mortgage operations.
- Understanding of IT processes and how technology supports banking and financial services.
- Exceptional communication skills—must be bubbly, friendly, and collaborative.
- Ability to thrive in a highly interactive, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized with a strong sense of ownership.
