ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designs and deploys company WANs, LANs and Wireless Networks including routers, switches, access points, firewalls, VPN and other network related hardware.
- Monitors network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed
- Designs and supports both internal and external network environments.
- Configures and monitors Cisco ASA Firewalls
- Provide technical leadership in Network design and support, using industry proven best practices to build secure, stable networks
- Practices network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
- Provides guidance to junior members of the team.
COMPETENCIES
- CCNP/ CCDP certification or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS including configuration and troubleshooting.
- Thorough hands on experience configuring and monitoring Cisco ASA Firewalls.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in various network technologies, services, and protocols that are typical of a large enterprise network including OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, BGP and QoS.
- Knowledge of network security, DNS, DHCP, VPN Configuration and Intrusion Detection Devices.
- Experience with Wireless Control Systems, Access Point, and 802.1x technologies.
