The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for support and administration of the Enterprise Network specifically related to datacenter and WAN/LAN technologies. Will work on complex network problems that require in-depth evaluation of various factors. Will understand and enforce network standards across all platforms that the team is responsible for. In addition to technical responsibilities, will also mentor and guide junior members of the team to gain depth and experience with advanced network technologies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Supports, configures, and designs company WANs and Wireless Networks including routers, switches, access points, VPN and other network related hardware

·       Monitors network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed

·       Provide advanced network and security support for all aspects of the production network, including Data Center, WAN, and Internet connectivity

·       Provide technical leadership in Network and Security technology, using industry proven best practices to manage and support secure, stable networks

·       Interact with Application Support Team in providing application troubleshooting, port configuration, Firewall monitoring, and switch port settings

·       Maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network administration, usage and disaster recovery

·       Will be available for Tier 3 support escalations of the Enterprise/Data Center Network Infrastructure as needed

·       Provides guidance to junior members of the team

COMPETENCIES

·       Thorough and hands-on experience with Cisco IOS, including troubleshooting and design of routing protocols to include BGP, EIGRP and RIP

·       CCNP certification or equivalent working experience

·       Knowledgeable and experienced in various network technologies, services, and protocols that are typical of a large enterprise network including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF and MPLS

·       Experience with Wireless Control Systems, Access Point, and 802.1x, PKI, EAP, TLS technologies

·       Strong implementation, troubleshooting, configuration, testing methodologies

·       Strong network/troubleshooting documentation skills
