Infrastructure Analyst IV (Charlotte, NC)
Optomi, in partnership with a leading energy organization, is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Analyst IV for their Charlotte, NC location! This position is ideal for a hands-on infrastructure professional with strong experience in automation, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code. The right candidate will support and improve enterprise infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments, working with technologies including Python, PowerShell, Terraform, Linux, and API-based integrations. This role will be heavily focused on designing and implementing scalable infrastructure automation solutions, improving operational processes, and supporting the performance and reliability of enterprise systems. Experience of the right candidate:
- 3+ years of experience working in infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and/or PowerShell for infrastructure automation and scripting.
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Strong experience working with Linux-based technologies.
- Experience designing and implementing infrastructure automation solutions.
- Experience developing or supporting API-based integrations.
- Experience automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration, monitoring, or operational processes.
- Experience working with cloud and/or on-premises infrastructure, preferably within hybrid environments.
- Exposure to AWS and/or Azure.
- Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure technologies including servers, storage, networking, and platform services.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to different audiences.
- Ability to work independently, research complex issues, and develop solutions with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities of the right candidate:
- Design and implement automation solutions for enterprise infrastructure using Python, PowerShell, Terraform, and Linux-based technologies.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, monitoring, and operational processes.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions to create repeatable and scalable infrastructure deployments.
- Develop and support API-based integrations between infrastructure platforms and enterprise systems.
- Plan, design, install, integrate, and support computer systems and infrastructure technologies.
- Support infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments, including hybrid architectures.
- Develop and maintain standard installation, configuration, upgrade, and operational procedures.
- Evaluate new infrastructure technologies and recommend solutions that improve performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate hardware and software upgrades with IT teams and other business units.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other members of the IT organization.
- Assist with developing and maintaining standards for enterprise hardware, software, and infrastructure technologies.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and research solutions independently.
- Document technical processes, solutions, and project activities.
- Communicate project status, technical recommendations, and complex infrastructure concepts to technical and business stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively across infrastructure, application, and business teams to support enterprise initiatives.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
