Optomi, in partnership with a leading financial services organization, is looking for a Delivery Lead to support a strategic technology modernization initiative.

Position Summary:  The Delivery Lead will play a pivotal role in revamping the technology for a factoring system with a complicated architecture that hasn't been updated in 15 years. This role is strategic and involves establishing delivery practices, driving Program Increment (PI) planning, resolving dependencies, and collaborating with stakeholders, Scrum Masters, and IT Managers. The ideal candidate will have strong financial services experience, program management expertise, and the ability to navigate change within a traditional IT environment.

  • Mainframe/program modernization expertise.

  • Experience working with implementation partners.
  • Agile transformation skills (preferred).
What the responsibilities are of the right candidate:
  • Plan and coordinate quarterly Program Increment (PI) planning sessions and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters and IT Managers to define team objectives and timelines.
  • Manage dependencies and resolve cross-team blockers.
  • Provide hands-on project management support for platform initiatives.
  • Establish delivery practices and drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist with dividing and restructuring the team under Grace's leadership.
  • Navigate change within a resistant team and drive adoption of new practices.
  • Location:  Remote with travel twice a quarter initially, based in NC or SC (EST hours).
