Operations Technician - Network Operations (100% Remote)

Optomi, in partnership with a leading services provider, is seeking an Operations Technician to support a high-volume Network Operations Center (NOC) focused on broadband network reliability. This role is critical to ensuring  24x7x365 coverage  and supporting enterprise-scale broadband, Ethernet, and network services. The ideal candidate has prior network operations experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and is comfortable working overnight, weekend, or rotating shifts in a fast-paced NOC environment.

Experience of the Right Candidate
  • Ability to work any shift in a 24x7x365 operational environment
  • Experience working in network operations, telecom, or a NOC environment
  • Hands-on experience monitoring and troubleshooting network devices remotely
  • Familiarity with broadband platforms such as CALIX, ADTRAN, UMC1000, or AFC
  • Understanding of Broadband / DSLAM network topology
  • Basic knowledge of telecom network architecture and repair procedures
Responsibilities of the Right Candidate
  • Monitor network alarms and proactively respond to service events
  • Open, manage, escalate, and close trouble tickets in accordance with procedures
  • Analyze, diagnose, isolate, and resolve broadband network issues
  • Coordinate with field operations, technical support, and escalation teams
  • Provide Tier I support across supported broadband platforms
  • Document outages, maintenance activities, and repair actions clearly
  • Manage multiple trouble reports and prioritize critical service events
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and off-net providers
  • Support overnight and off-hours coverage as part of a 24x7 NOC rotation
