Optomi, in partnership with our client, are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Account Manager to join their team on a direct hire basis. This role sits fully remote, looking for an ability to travel about 20% as needed.
W2 only, no 1099/C2C/sponsorship offered.
As a Senior Technical Account Manager, you’ll play a key role in growing the organization's presence with top hyperscalers and co-location providers. You’ll own client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and support the delivery of design-build retrofit projects across the U.S.
What You’ll Do
- Build and manage strategic relationships with hyperscaler and co-location clients
- Identify, qualify, and grow a commercial sales pipeline in the data center retrofit sector
- Partner with engineering and project delivery teams to scope and execute design-build solutions
- Lead client discussions on technical retrofit initiatives for AI chipsets and network infrastructure
- Represent organization in industry conversations, helping shape our commercial growth strategy
Must-Have Skills
- Established relationships with AWS, Google, Meta, Microsoft, or major co-locators
- Strong client management and enterprise relationship-building experience
- Technical background in engineering, design, or construction (data center experience preferred)
- Understanding of data center retrofit and upgrade programs
- Proven ability to develop and manage a sales or project pipeline
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
- Willingness to travel up to ~20%
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Prior experience at a hyperscaler or co-location provider
- Hands-on knowledge of data center design-build projects
- Background in HVAC, electrical, or network infrastructure
- Familiarity with AI chipset retrofit work
- Experience transitioning from a technical to client-facing role
