Summary  

Applies advanced engineering and network planning principles, theories, concepts and technologies to solve unusually complex problems and issues related to SONET, DWDM, Mero Ethernet and Fiber networks.  Primary focus is providing project plans to migrate customer traffic and networks from a network facility complete with design, sequencing and budget. Facilitation of cross-functional plans and strategies to ensure alignment across all partners of the business. 

The Main Responsibilities

• Leads the development, evaluation, cost estimation and implementation of new and innovative principles, processes and applications, 
• Analyzes complex local and wide area network systems and/or customer network environment, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting growth systems and strategies.
• Acts as consultant to leadership detailing the technical requirements and specifications necessary to obtain solutions. 
• Requires limited direction and guidance with most tasks. 
• Possesses specific SME level knowledgebase/skillset in one or more network layers and supports peers as SME
• Supports collaborative decision making for network architecture, site level strategic planning with market/region ownership
• Project/Program management experience to be applied as a support for program
• Applies business analytic skills to justify strategic decisions and must articulate to upper-level management
• Possesses excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as organizational skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 6+ years related experience.
