EXPANSION TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AND NATIONAL PRESENCE
April 8, 2014

Optomi has opened a Southern California office and established a national accounts team to support its continued growth. The IT staffing firm’s next phase of expansion comes on the heels of a successful first year of business. Optomi is currently trending as one of the fastest growing national IT staffing firms and was recently recognized by the Staffing Industry Analysts for being one of the “2014 Best Places to Work”. The Newport Beach branch is the fourth hub office to support a growing national network of offices with plans to hire in excess of 70 employees by the end of 2014. Optomi is focused on an organic growth model, hiring exceptional talent and promoting top performers into leadership positions and incremental new markets.

To ensure a successful launch in the California market, Optomi has hired Tammy Hawkins, a proven sales leader with extensive IT staffing experience. Tammy comes with a strong track record of achievements within the industry. As a firm believer in giving back, Tammy appreciates Optomi’s charitable efforts and philosophy of networking in the local community. She is currently the Regional Alliance Chair for the Orange County chapter of WITI (Women in Technology International) and has been serving for numerous years as the Alliance Partner Chair for SoTeC.

In addition to adding a new office hub, the IT staffing firm has expanded its national presence by hiring Laura Chevalier as their new VP of National Accounts. Laura is tasked with building a world-class national accounts team to provide industry-leading service to Optomi’s clients. Laura has a background in strategic sales and large account management. Having previously managed an account portfolio in excess of $200 million, she brings a unique perspective on a diverse spectrum of IT services.

Optomi CEO Michael Winwood remarked, “This is the next phase of our planned growth and builds the platform for us to become a leading national provider. Having worked with both Laura and Tammy previously, we are thrilled to have them on the Optomi team. We are building a company that is and will be known for industry-leading philosophies. We believe the IT staffing industry will continue to be very responsive to our innovative approach.

For 20 years, a multinational healthcare services company relied on the outsourcing support of a managed services provider to fulfill their hiring needs. Upon evaluating the deal later on, the client learned that not only were they overspending on resources, but that they lacked all contract proprietary rights. They did not own any of the documentation or standard operating procedures in place in their own company, handcuffing them to their old vendor.
