Optomi's Detroit Branch Volunteered at the Children's Center

Optomi’s Detroit office participated in the company’s 5th Annual Opt2Give Day of Service on November 6, 2017. We volunteered our time and labor to a wonderful service organization, The Children’s Center of Detroit. At the Center, we first learned about their mission and services to over 7500 families in the greater metro area: free meals and clothing, foster care services, coping skills, academic tutoring, interview preparation, and arts education among others.
During our Day of Service, we helped in a variety of ways: organizing and restocking bagged meals in the pantry, sorting donated clothes and setting up tables for clothing displays, touch-up painting of a mural, and soliciting plastic bag donations from a local general store.
